CB Les Franqueses hosted the second day of the 7th 3X3 Circuit organized by the Catalan Basketball Federation, which took place all day on Saturday, May 25, at the Municipal Sports Pavilion of Corró d’Avall.
In recognition of Les Franqueses del Vallès being named the European City of Sport 2024, the municipality was chosen this year as the venue for the second day of the 7th 3X3 Circuit of the Catalan Basketball Federation. This event took place on Saturday, May 25, at the Municipal Sports Pavilion of Corró d’Avall, which was divided into up to 7 courts, and gathered around 400 participants from all over Catalonia. It was an open competition featuring teams from all categories, from the youngest, the mini category, to the oldest, the senior category.
The second day of the 3X3 Circuit was organized by the Catalan Basketball Federation with the collaboration of the host club, CB Les Franqueses, which provided up to twenty volunteers. It was a day full of activity at the Municipal Sports Pavilion, which was festively decorated for the occasion and hosted games from 8:45 AM until after 8:00 PM. The competition saw the finals of the youth categories just before noon and the finals of the higher categories, from cadets to seniors, starting at 6:00 PM. These finals were held on the two main courts located on the covered outdoor court of the Municipal Sports Pavilion.
This year, the tournament was celebrated as the Joan Hernández Gómez Memorial in memory of the former director of CB Les Franqueses.
