The eighteen-time world champions have experienced the passion for cycling that fills the air in Corró d’Amunt.
On Saturday, July 13, as part of the activities for the Corró d’Amunt Festival, the first Corró d’Amunt on Wheels Day took place, gathering a large number of BikeTrial enthusiasts. The event was organized by the Corró d’Amunt Cycling Club within the framework of Les Franqueses del Vallès, European Sports Village 2024.
In the morning, the youngest residents of the municipality had the chance to test their skills on the Bike Trial circuit under the watchful eyes of twin sisters Mireia and Gemma Abant, eighteen-time world champions in Bike Trial, who coached them and experienced the cycling passion of Corró d’Amunt firsthand. Additionally, members of the Corró d’Amunt Cycling Club conducted a bicycle repair workshop, which saw high participation.
The highlight of the day came around noon when the Abant sisters put on an impressive show, leaving the audience in awe with their stunts and tricks over obstacles and even over willing volunteers. The performance culminated with a jump rope routine on bicycles and concluded with Mireia and Gemma Abant signing posters.
