In a fun-filled day that brought together archers from 14 different clubs across Catalonia, the hosts prepared moving targets inspired by the world of cinema.
Archery and cinema came together this Sunday at the Corró d’Avall Sports Pavilion during the ‘Cinema Arrows’ event, organized by the Les Franqueses Archery Club and framed within the 2024 European Town of Sport initiative. The event offered a unique and enjoyable experience, with the organizers setting up over 15 moving targets.
A total of 122 archers from 14 clubs across Catalonia participated in this creative initiative, which was warmly received by all attendees. Participants tested their skills on moving targets, propelled by mechanisms designed and built by club members, which depicted scenes and legendary characters from the silver screen. These included characters from blockbuster films like Star Wars and Jaws, as well as others inspired by Westerns or horror movies.
According to Albert Barquero, “The idea came from a group of club members who brainstormed how we could do something different and spectacular. We started working on the cinema theme and created a circuit of five sections that we believe is very entertaining.” This experience has left everyone with a positive impression, and the club is considering repeating it in the future.
