The Ramassà team won the title for the first time in the history of the tournament after defeating CF Bellavista Milan 1-0 in the final.
The 13th edition of the Les Franqueses City Council Trophy, European City of Sport 2024, concluded on Thursday night with the final between AE Ramassà and CF Bellavista Milan. Ramassà won by the narrowest of margins, with a goal from Juan in the 12th minute of the first half. The Ramassà forward capitalized on a poor backpass from the red and black team to their goalkeeper, scoring the only goal of the final. This was Juan’s second goal of the tournament and it secured the title for his team for the first time.
The evening kicked off at 8:30 p.m. with the consolation final between CF Les Franqueses and US Corró d’Amunt. The match for third and fourth place was one-sided, with the Les Franqueses team dominating from the first whistle. CF Les Franqueses won 4-0, securing third place on the podium.
During the break between the two finals, the City Council and the Municipal Sports Board hosted the traditional cold dinner for representatives of all the clubs participating in this 13th edition of the Les Franqueses City Council Trophy, European City of Sport 2024. Mayor Juan Antonio Corchado Ponce took the opportunity to toast the strength and unity of the town’s sports community and wished all the clubs from Les Franqueses del Vallès a successful season.
