An event that saw the participation of up to 25 athletes from 4 sports clubs in the region.
This Sunday, May 26th, the closing ceremony of the 21st school badminton league of the Vallès Oriental Sports Council was held at the Espai Can Prat in Les Franqueses del Vallès. The final day marked the end of the 21st edition of this league, which featured clubs from across the region, and this Sunday welcomed 25 athletes from CESIB and AEE Blancafort of La Garriga, C.B. Bellaterra, and the Municipal Sports Board of Les Franqueses.
The closing event began at 9:30 AM and continued until past 1:00 PM, featuring both singles and doubles matches, along with the presentation of trophies and medals to the league winners. Athletes from the Municipal Sports Board of Les Franqueses won a total of 8 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze. The gold medals were awarded to Ivet in girls’ under-12, Adrián in boys’ under-16, Clara in girls’ under-16, and Nayara in girls’ under-18. The silver medals went to Oriol in boys’ under-12, Marc in boys’ under-14, and Ferran in boys’ under-16, while the bronze medal was won by Mireia in girls’ under-12.
The closing ceremony was attended by Santi Jané, representing the Vallès Oriental Sports Council, and Toni Jiménez, representing the Les Franqueses City Council.
