The initiative has been supported by the City Council of Les Franqueses del Vallès, as a form of collaboration in the sports and solidarity work of the AE Ramassà, and within the framework of the activities of Les Franqueses, European Town of Sport 2024.
The Ramassà Sports Association has completed its eighth sports and solidarity trip to Africa. This year, the team from Les Franqueses embarked on a journey to Kenya, from March 22nd to 30th, to face the best team in the country, AFC Leopards, at the National Stadium in Nairobi, in a friendly match that ended with a 4-3 victory for the locals.
An initiative that has received support from the City Council of Les Franqueses del Vallès, as a form of collaboration in the sports and solidarity work of the AE Ramassà, and within the framework of the activities of Les Franqueses, European Town of Sport 2024.
Representatives of the City Council, including the Sports Councillor, Carlos Munzón, accompanied the team on this trip to firsthand experience the cooperative work with the NGO Kubuka, which operates in the population of Kibera and acts in Kenya and Zambia to create sustainable development in these countries, focusing mainly on education and entrepreneurship. In this sense, the expedition from Les Franqueses del Vallès was able to visit the schools where this NGO works, collaborating both financially, with donations made by individuals and companies from Les Franqueses del Vallès, and with the delivery of sports and educational materials.
The Ramassà Sports Association has been carrying out its cooperation work for eight years in countries such as Ethiopia, the Republic of Benin, Uganda, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Gambia.
