The Municipal Cycling School, managed by the Unió Ciclista les Franqueses, continues to grow and now has nearly fifty children.

The club operates at the facilities of the municipal cycling sports zone, located in the Pla de Llerona industrial area, with groups of children aged between 4 and 16 years old.

Since 2020, coinciding with the creation of the municipal cycling facilities located in the Pla de Llerona industrial area, the Unió Ciclista les Franqueses has been managing the Municipal Cycling School of Les Franqueses. The school aims to teach and transmit the values of this sport among the children of Les Franqueses. Since its inception, the school has not stopped growing and, to date, it has up to 45 children from the municipality aged between 4 and 16 years old. This initiative is managed by a club coordinator and 4 instructors, with the support of the board of directors, and since its inception, it has been expanding its offerings and the number of participants.

The Municipal Cycling School of Les Franqueses conducts cycling classes in two weekly sessions, on Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. These classes are segmented into age and skill level groups, with a total of 3 groups. The training offer is expanded with the summer camp during the month of July, with training sessions from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Additionally, sports and recreational activities are conducted with schools or summer camps in Les Franqueses, educational and awareness activities such as the traffic education activity carried out with the local police, as well as the organization of various popular races of the schools or the municipality itself in which the School members participate, either by taking part or helping in the organization.

The Municipal Cycling School of Les Franqueses aims to introduce children from Les Franqueses to the world of cycling in all its disciplines. Although currently, the focus is on the development of MTB (mountain biking) and cyclo-cross, the possibility of expanding the range of offerings with the preparation of a trial zone is being studied, so that school students can practice and learn about alternative activities to those currently carried out. The objective of creating a trial zone is to try to encompass as many sports activities related to cycling as possible to continue growing around the municipal cycling sports zone.

This work is carried out with the goal of becoming a meeting place for many cyclists and a reference for the practice of cycling in the Vallès Oriental area while teaching the values of this sport to the youngest in the municipality.
