More than 300 bikers took part in the start of the 22nd International Catalan MTB Cup Biking Point in Corro d’Amunt, Grand Prix Les Franqueses, European Sports Village 2024.

The new direction of the circuit, which had to be changed due to roadworks on BV 5151, was a resounding success.

More than 300 bikers participated this Sunday in the 22nd edition of the International Catalan MTB Cup Biking Point in Corró d’Amunt, Grand Prix Les Franqueses, European Sports Village 2024. An event organized by the Corró d’Amunt Cycling Club and Ocisport, with the collaboration of the Town Hall and Biking Point, which was a great success despite the change in direction of the route, forced by the roadworks on BV 5151, and which once again was the Toni Costa Memorial. A change of direction that pleased the participants and made the route tougher, turning it into a more technical and demanding circuit. Modifications that did not go unnoticed by the participating teams, who valued them very positively, as did the organization. In this sense, the president of the Corró d’Amunt Cycling Club, Josep Mauri, expressed his satisfaction with the result of the change in the circuit since despite the works “we have ended up with an almost perfect circuit, with a perfect start and a really good circuit. People are very happy with this change and we have to thank the young people from the club who have been the ones who have dedicated themselves to designing the new race route. They have made a great effort and it has paid off. They have made a truly spectacular circuit.

Marta Cano, in the women’s category, and Jofre Cullell, in the men’s category, were the winners of the elite category, managing to impose themselves on all their rivals and demonstrating their dominance in what is the third event of the International Catalan Cup calendar. The third position on the podium went to the Catalan Nuria Bosch who finished the race with a time of 1 hour 19 minutes and 7 seconds. In the men’s category, Jofre Cullell showed his good form by achieving victory with a time of 1 hour 18 minutes and 19 seconds closely followed by Didac Carvacho, with a time of 1 hour 19 minutes and 1 second, and Marek Rauchfuss, who finished third, with 1 hour 19 minutes and 38 seconds.
