The national competition will take place at the pavilion on Girona Street in Granollers and will feature the participation of up to 20 teams.
Basic twirling will be the star this weekend in our region. The Twirling Club Les Franqueses will host the ‘Twirl for Fun’ National Championship on Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16, at the sports pavilion on Girona Street in Granollers.
The competition, organized by the Spanish Federation of Sports Dance and Twirling, will bring up to 20 clubs from all over Catalonia to Les Franqueses, ranging from beginner to adult categories.
The event will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday and, throughout the weekend, will feature various performances by national twirling teams. The competition is divided into four artistic categories: freestyle, artistic pairs, free hands, and artistic teams.
The Twirling Club Les Franqueses will participate in the National Championship with Mar López, Kiara Martchenko, Elsa Milrado, Aitana Jiménez, Arlet Rojano, Viktoria Yarmolenko, Giulia Stamerra, Ariadna Gimeno, Paula González, Nerea Tello, Júlia Ponce, Keyla Martchenko, Paula Delgado, Aitana Montoro, Martina Serrano, Judit Tobal, Leyre Montoro, Iria Rodríguez, Arlet Argemi, Ona Sánchez, Mariia Yarmolenko, Oliwia Domanska, and Miquel Dorado.
The competition will conclude on Sunday at 6 p.m. with the award ceremony and closing event, as part of the events for Les Franqueses, European Sports Town 2024.
